“If you judge a fish for their ability to climb a tree, it will go through life thinking it is stupid. That’s the core idea of my teaching philosophy. I believe everyone would like to learn how to play piano but not everyone gets excited over the same repertoire or styles nor has the same abilities. I believe that listening to the student’s interests and understanding their surroundings is the best way to reach them at a fundamental level. Most people already like music and my job is to help them enjoy it even more.
